This is the first poster made available for sale to the public of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Photographed by Bob Shaw at the request of Tex Schramm[1], it was produced in 1977 by Pro Arts featuring 5 cheerleaders standing in a smoky background. It has been estimated that they sold over a million posters.[2] It measures 28 in x 20 in; 71.12 cm x 50.8 cm[3] and is a one-sided print.
There are many sites that list the cheerleaders but most are incorrect. I used to be one of them.
The featured cheerleaders from are as follows (left to right):
• Kris Marullo
• Suzette Russell
• Suzie Holub
• Cynde Lewis
• Debbie Wagener
This poster is a nice piece to collect if it is in mint condition. There are many available on various auction sites and the cost can be very reasonable. In addition to the poster, this print was also made into a bar mirror.
The poster was submitted to the Smithsonian in 2018 along with a plethora of other Dallas Cheerleaders memorabilia including two uniforms (the original 1972 & current), boots, poms, Barbie Doll, and the ABBEY bear.[4]
